Examination of Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf KR.172 mi major contrabass concerto

In this study, Mi Major Contrabass Concerto of Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf, one of the most important composers of the double bass repertoire, is examined. In the first part of the thesis, the art scene in the 18th century described in detail. The dominant schools and the composers of the era are analyzed. The second part focused on XVIII. century, the composer Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf life and works. The third sections emphasizes the development double bass. In the fourth and the last chapter of the thesis, the original and the latter editions of Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf's Kr. 172 Mi Major Contrabass Concerto were compared and analyzed.
