Abstract (EN)
Traffic assignment the last and fourth step of transportation model is the process of assigning or distributing trafic into the shortest paths of each Origin-Destination (O-D) pair in a transportation network where each driver or user want to travel at the shortest time or distance for their destinations. With this study comparative travel time network reliability performance analysis will be conducted through the case study of transportation test network by using different traffic assignment techniques and methods. In studies to be carried out using the shortest route algorithms, the links and routes that will experience capacity problems in the city network will be determined and necessary implementation suggestions will be made for improvements. Under this study, some techniques of traffic assignment are evaluated according to procedure of each technique based on data used as transportation test network. In this research, as above mentioned, first unit introduces traffic assignment and its relevant concepts. In the second section, literature review for traffic assignment is presented in light of academic research papers, journals and written books. Third unit deals with evaluation of traffic data for each technique. In the fourth chapter, traffic assignment techniques are analyzed. In the fifth unit analysed techniques are compared and finally in the sixth unit results are discussed and some required solutions are proposed.
