Abstract (EN)

Today, the leachate of solid waste coming from the most difficult wastewater treatment is affected by the organic and inorganic pollutants and threatens the natural life because it affects groundwater and soil quality. Leachate water from the integrated solid waste facility in the province of Bingöl is flooded by pools accumulated by the increase of rainfall, it is mixed with underground and surface waters and threatens the health of the people and natural life in Bingöl. In this study, removal efficiency of heavy metals in solid waste leachate was investigated by using natural adsorbent material, expanded perlite (GP). The results of the analysis of the samples obtained from the removal of Mn+2, Cu+2, Ni+2 and Zn+2 from synthetic wastewaters prepared in manganese, copper, nickel and zinc heavy metal salts in laboratory environment were applied to adsorption isotherm models. From the results, it can be seen that the adsorption of perlite in the input concentration, the amount of adsorbed matter and the contact time variables, adsorption of perlite on Mn+2 heavy metal fitted Langmuir isotherm with R2=0.93, Langmuir isotherm in Cu heavy metal with R2=0.99, Ni heavy metal in Freundlich isotherm with R2=0.92 and Zn+2 heavy metals were found to conform to Langmuir isotherms with R2=0.97.
