Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, the effects of pretreatment for interconnect material used for SOFC on sealing performance were investigated. Interconnect material; some pretreatments such as sand blasting oxidation boronizing were carried out for AISI 430 stainless steel, bonding and sealing between glass-ceramic sealing material and this were studied. Three different composition called A1, A2 and A3 were prepared, basalt as a main component, for forming bond layer between interconnect and glass-ceramic sealing material. Prepared mixtures were melted in electrical furnace at 1500°C for 1 h. These were milled as glass powder and AISI 430 stainless steel substrates subjected to pretreatments were coated with these powders, and then heat treatment was performed for bonding. Thanks to this heat treatment, transformation glass structure to glass-ceramic structure occurred. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy were used for sealing performance and interface characteristics between interconnect and glass-ceramic sealing material.
