Abstract (EN)

In this study, plant development yield and fruit characteristics of 8 variety candidates developed by double haploidy technique were investigated under low plastic tunnel at Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture of Çukurova University. SI-6-200S x SR-1-200S, SR-1-200S x SI-6-200S, SR-1-200S x 57-9, 7-20 x SR-13, 289-13 x SR-32, AB-55 x SI-6-200S, 230-6 x SR-1-200S, AB-18-200X x SR-1-200S Fı hybrid plant materials were used in this study. Plant length (cm), main stem diameter (mm), number of nodes (nodes/plant), first male flower blooming, 50 % male flower blooming, first female flower blooming, 50 % female flower blooming and fruit parameters such as yield (kg/m2), fruit flesh ratio (%), fruit flesh thickness (cm), fruit rind thickness (mm), TSS (%), fruit weight (g), fruit length (cm), fruit diameter (cm), length of cavity (cm) and diameter of cavity (cm) were investigated. According to the result of this study, some genotypes showed the maximum values in plant growth, yield and fruit characteristics compared to controls. 7-20 x SR-13 hybrid resulted in higher plant length and number of nodes while AB-18-200X x SR-1-200S was in total yield, Sİ-6-200S x SR-1-200S in fruit weight, AB-55 x Sİ-6-200S in fruit length, 289-13 x SR-32 in fruit diameter, SR-1-200S x 57-9, 7-20 x SR-13, 289-13 x SR-32 and 230-6 x SR-1-200S in length of cavity, AB-55 x Sİ-6-200S in diameter of cavity.
