Islamic finance sensitivity of participation bank employees (Marmara region example)

History dating back to the 1970s and the period of participation banking emerged as a search for solutions to the economic problems in Turkey, has a slightly older history of the world. Participation banking, which has emerged in order to meet the borrowing needs of people who avoid interest as a necessity of Islamic faith and to provide a growth by incorporating their accumulations into the financial system, has become an alternative to the conventional banking system today. Thanks to the accumulation of oil revenues in the hands of the east and gulf countries, participation banking is becoming more and more powerful. While some banks participate in participation banking as the main subject of participation, some of them offer a combination of both conventional and Islamic banking systems called windows. Moreover, the Islamic financial system offers financial solutions not only in participation banking but also in the field of insurance with Tekafül application and private pension solutions. The starting point of our research is the participation bank employees who are the hands touching to the customers at the points where the banks offering these financial solutions come in contact with their customers. However, no matter how healthy decisions taken by the top management and the sturdiness of the control mechanisms, there is always the possibility of going outside the line in organizations where people are involved. In this study, we tried to investigate the sensitivities of Islamic finance of the participation bank employees, which were established to act with Islamic sensitivities. Based on the fact that the main mass of our research is all the employees working in the participation banks, and the fact that it is not possible to reach all these people, the employees of the participation banks in the Marmara Region, where the economy of our country is the most alive, were selected as a sample and the results obtained as a result of the survey conducted with the personel were evaluated.
