Abstract (EN)

Corrosion is defined as that materials have been decomposed by the effect of environment in time. Material type which is more seen because of high tendency to electro-chemical reactions are metals. The main criteria is oxygen for metal corrodes, in additional there are lots of side effects. The essential principles of cathodic protection are based on electro-chemical theory. Cathodic protection requires polarization as cathode for metal corrodes. This condition provides with coupling active metal (galvanic anode) and metal which must be protected, on the other hand this state performs applying an external current. In this study, automatic rectifier unit of impressed current cathodic protection rectifiers, broadly used for corrosion control, has been implemented. The rectifier unit has been controlled by using computer. Rectifier units have been established long distance point depend on application field. Current and voltage of the rectifier unit have been observed on-line and changed working values with computer by using a program, developed in this study. If any error has been occurred, a message is displayed on the PC. In this way, both rectifier unit has been observed on-line and requiring time and cost for determine and fixing errors have been decreased.
