Determining the digital maturity level of rubber production enterprises: Bursa province example

Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to contribute to the development of the sector by determining the positive and open sides of the sector by determining the digital maturity level of the rubber production enterprises in Bursa. In this research, the DMAT(Digital Maturity Assesment Tool) scale developed at Aarhus University to determine the level of digital maturity of enterprises was translated into Turkish and used. First of all, the company representatives were contacted by phone and gived information about this research. Afterwards, an online questionnaire was sent to the e-mail addresses of the relevant companies and asked to fill in it. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, face-to-face meetings were not preferred. The universe of the research consists of 85 businesses and 122 people from 72 companies participated. The collected data were subjected to statistical analysis with the SPSS 26.0 program. In this exploratory study, Exploratory Factor Analysis, Correlation and Anova analyzes were performed. With the correlation analysis, it was determined that there is a positive and significant relationship between the Strategy, Organization, Culture, Processes, Customers and Partners dimensions and the level of Digital Maturity Level. With one-way Anova analysis; It has been determined that there is a significant difference between the turnover size of the enterprises and the digital maturity level, in a like manner with Anova analysis there is no significant difference between number of employees or education levels of the participants to the digital maturity level.
