Abstract (EN)

Education is everywhere where there are human beings. Education is a mental process that continues throughout life. Turks have always given importance to education. Before the religion of Islam, education in Turks can be grouped under the name of social education, religious education, vocational education, not as formal and non-formal education as it is today. In this period, the predominance of oral education and the education thought of our pre-Islamic ancestors seem to be in the form of non-formal education. After Islam, the Turks changed their understanding of education when they adopted Islam. Madrasahs emerged as educational institutions, and with the spread of formal education, the moral understanding of the society changed and they implemented education programs in the Alperen thought from the Alp type education structure. The organizational structure of the Ahi community in the Karakhanids, Seljuks and Ottoman Empires began to spread in the Anatolian lands. In the Republican era, public education centers were established and education opportunities were provided to adults The aim of this study is to investigate the structure of the adult education system in Turks from past to present and to explain it by using the findings of the sources.
