Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, dynamic analysis of two dimensional frames subjected to ground motion was performed. Dynamic effects on frames induced by ground excitement were analyzed, first by deriving the equations of motion, then solving them by numerical methods. Frequencies and mode shapes were calculated and the mode superposition method was used to determine displacements, velocities and accelerations at each storey level as functions of time. Those kinematic variables and dynamic stresses are computed and their dependence on ground motion parameters are discussed. The computations were made by a MATLAB program.
