Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to explore the artistic development of educable mentally retarted children (EMRC) in integrated and subclasses. The population of the study comprises of educable mentally retarted children in integrated and subclasses of elemantary schools in Sincan and Mamak districs of Ankara. The sample consist of 25 girls and 35 boys; totally 60 educable mentally retarted children of 9-13 age group attending two schools having subclasses and 3 schools having integrated classes, in total 5 schools. The necessary data for this study were gathered from the drawings those made by the children contribute to ?My family? and evaluated by the three art specialist to these criteria: Narration, Space, Shema, Color. Significance test is used to search the differences between educable mentally retarted children in integrated and subclasses.According to the result of t-test, it is determined that the level of artistic development of EMRC attending the subclasses was less than those children in integration classes.Key words: Child-Educable Mentally Retarted- Child Pictures- Maintaine- Subclass- Art-Art Education.
