Evaluation of chiropractical specialists selection criteria in specific diseases

This study aimed to introduce the characteristics of chiropractic tables and evaluate the selection criteria of chiropractic experts for specific conditions. According to the findings of the study, the majority of participants stated that the portability of the table did not influence their preferences. Participants showed a significant preference for the Elite model chiropractic table. The most favored techniques among participants were the Diversified technique. However, the most commonly used techniques were Flexion-Distraction and Gonstead. Participants expressed a preference for custom-designed tables based on their own preferences, with oak material being preferred. In terms of pricing, the majority of participants indicated a range of $100-$500 for their preferred tables. The height of the tables was predominantly 18 inches, while the length ranged between 160-180 cm and the width between 35-50 cm. Participants showed a significant preference for ankle extension on the table, and a large portion of participants did not prefer drop techniques in cervical applications. Flexion-extension techniques were preferred in cervical applications. Additionally, participants preferred adjustable face cradles for resting during cervical treatments and prone armrests for cervical adjustments. In thoracic applications, participants showed a preference for a firm table, adjustable drop options, and the use of soft mattress pads. Pelvic traction was also favored by a significant number of participants. Regarding the specific conditions treated with chiropractic tables, the findings showed that chronic low back pain was the most common condition, followed by cervical chronic pain, lumbar disc herniation, temporomandibular dysfunction, cervical disc herniation, and chronic thoracic pain.
