An evaluation of satisfaction of members in the beet growers cooperatives-Kayseri

All producers should be well organized, in order to be successful in agricultural production, to do production technically and also to be efficient socially. Producers mostly can be more effective in agricultural production with agricultural cooperatives. Kayseri Beet Growers Cooperative is one of the cooperative who well organizes the beet growers in agricultural way and in other themes procure goods and services for production as well as beet production. The aim of this research is to determine satisfaction factors for the shareholders and determine the basic satisfactory elements for the manufacturers in order to ensure of the sustainability of the management policies to be applied to the producers. The main material of this research is consisted of the data made in the surveys which all Kayseri Beet Growers Cooperative's shareholders have been agree on. In order this study to cover all producers, there have been a discussion with about 170 producers of the 12. Regional Directorate which is based in Kayseri, Sivas and Yozgat , producing on behalf of Kayseri Sugar Factory Inc. There are totally 8 part in the survey which are general informations of the shareholders, general informations of the shareholders enterprises, economical factors which might effect of the cooperative's satisfactory, cultural factors, social factors, cooperative features and success factors. Simple descriptive statistics, factor analysis and structural equation model were applied to the obtained data. As a result of the factor analysis in the research findings, 5 factors were determined from the 17 item scale that are used to determine the satisfaction of the shareholders of Kayseri Beet Growers Cooperative. These factors are "trust in cooperatives", "economic benefit of the cooperative", "social benefit of the cooperative", "belief in cooperatives", and "success of the cooperative". According to the results of factor analysis, it was revealed that there is a meaningful relationship between "cooperative trust", "cooperative belief" and "cooperative success" by applying the structural equality model.
