The reduplications in kazakh, Azerbaijan and Uzbek Turkish

In this study, we have given place to the reduplication in Kazakh Turkish which belongs to North-west group (Kıpçak), Uzbek Turkish which belongs to South-east group (Karluk) and Azerbaijan Turkish which belongs to South-west group (Oğuz) among Turkish dialects. We have studied reduplication that we found in the dictionaries which have been written in these dialects in various aspects comparatively. In the introduction part of the study, the studies made regarding the reduplications by researchers and the terms which they preferred stated. In this part, the general aspects of reduplication have clarified and thus it has drawn into attention that they have handled in what titles in the grammar books. In the analysis part, we are handled reduplications which belong to three dialects from the point of view of sound, structure, semantic, and etymological. While studying reduplications in terms of sound according to their first sounds, it has taken advantage of the assay "Türkçenin Sayıca Eş Heceli İkilemelerinde Sıralama Kuralları ve Tabii Bir Ünsüz Dizisi" of Osman Nedim Tuna. While studying the reduplications with regard to structure, by considering the words building up the reduplication whether they take affix or not, if taken affix, it has been touched on which affix or affixes they have been taken. While studying the reduplication as semantic, by giving place the reduplications of which both of the words are in the dictionary, the meaning relationship between them has been determined. In the etymological part, the reduplications which are used in common in Kazakh, Uzbek and Azerbaijan Turkish have been classified as Turkish+Turkish, Iranian+Iranian and Arabic+Arabic. In the conclusion part of the study, on the other hand, our study has assessed with its main parts and the points that we have found important have underlined. Besides, at the end of the thesis, we have given a dictionary of reduplications, composed of three dialects. Key Words: Reduplications, Kazakh Turkish, Azerbaijan Turkish, Uzbek Turkish
