The investigation of Boz Yiğit Epic by Kazak Turks in the context of hero monomite

The concepts such as collective unconscious, archetype and monomyth are now used to analyze the symbolic language of various works in many fields of literature. Joseph Campbell defines as "monomyth" these similarities and cyclical expression of common symbolisms in the fictions of folk narratives by focusing to "hero" archetype. Monomyth cycle like departure, initiation and return of the hero is given in many folk narratives. The epic of Kazakh people "Bozyigit" is an attempt to redefine the hero in the context due to stages "Departure - Initiation - Return" outlined in Joseph Campbell's book called "The Hero's Journey". In this epic, the importance of customs and traditions belong to Kazakh people and the motifs in the context are also taken into account. At the end of the story, Bozyigit is killed by his opponent Zitun. Here explains how the hero named Bozyigit struggles towards realizing his purpose until the end of his life. In the given work according to Joseph Campbell's book called "The Hero's Journey" the cyclic adventure and monomyth approach of the hero in the epic of Kazakh people "Bozyigit" is analyzed.
