Abstract (EN)

The theme and scope of this dissertation is on "Akbilek" novel of Cüsipbek Aymawıtulı, who is well-known writer of Kazak Turks in the 20th centry. The objective of this dissertation is to translate the novel from Kazak-Turkic language into Turkey's Turkish as well as to analyse its content. Moreover, the information about the writer and the novel are provied in the study. Translation method is word to word (direct translation of text of the novel) translation. But, where the direct translation is not possible, then, providing of approximate meaning of the text rather then word-to word translation was chosen as a translation method. Kazak letters which are different than Turksih letters were translated into Turkish letters which provides closer voices as Kazak letters. Voices and lettters used for: letter Ä, ä for ae voices, letter W, w for uı voices, letter Q, q for K, k voices were used during translation of text accordingly. The text of the novel is strictly followed as method of analysis for contents study. The novel is written in a smooth style and the language used is todays Kazak language. The writer cast a critical eye on important social issues such as place of women in the society and womens education. Key Words 1.Kazak 2. Novel 3. Turkish translation 4.
