Abstract (EN)

The dynamic forces effecting marine structures, are slightly different than forces effectingthe structures on land. While earthquakes and wind forces (in some cases), effectingstructures on land and on sea, have dynamic influence; marine structures are also effected bywave and wind forces which are also dynamic forces. This study researches the behavior of the wharf piles in cohesionless grounds, under staticand dynamic loads. The load coming from the wharf platform are calculated as theperpendicular static load; and loads evolving from the wave effect are estimated as thehorizontal dynamic load.In the static analysis, the carrying capacity of the pile group affected by the perpendicularload, is determined.Because of the wave force effect, the dynamic analysis has been done in two approaches. In the first approach, the ground effect has not been included in the estimation, because thesingular pier pile has been accepted as ground-standing at the stability level. In the secondapproach, the ground effects of the submerged pile have been included in the estimations, andthe cross-section affect and pile shift has also been calculated. The p-y curves have been usedin these estimations. The Software Application Program SAP2000 has been used in thedynamic analysis.Key Words: Wave forces, pile foundations, single degree of freedom systems ( SDOF ),p-y curves, dynamic analysis.
