Abstract (EN)
In this study, firstly literature review was done about the bearing capacity of piles, pile settlement, pile loading tests and methods for evaluating pile loading tests. As a result of the literature search, it has been seen that many researchers have developed theoretical/empirical methods that use the mechanical properties of the soil/rock environment and extract the bearing capacity directly from the results of the field experiments. Mathematical methods and graphical methods are investigated as pile loading test evaluation methods. The finite element method have been added to the results of the literature review both pile loading test evaluation methods and the theoretical/empirical methods which are used to determine the pile bearing capacity and pile settlements. The bearing capacity and settlement of eight pile loading tests were analyzed with all these methods. As a result of the analysis, pile settlements and pile bearing capacities are presented comparatively. The pile load test evaluation methods based on mathematical models were examined and it was concluded that existing methods could give excessive bearing capacity value. Therefore new pile loading test evaluating method based on mathematical model was recommended. The recommended pile loading test evaluating method based on mathematical model were Compared with other methods accepted in the literature by statistical analysis and proved to be usable. Comparing the results of the recommended method to some of the mathematical methods accepted in the literature; the Decourt method is 1,59, the Chin-Kondner method is 1,57 and the Özkan-Alku method is 1,17 times bigger than the recommended method.
