Abstract (EN)

As the notable campaign leader of Turkish Cypriot community, Dr. Fazil Kucuk lived out his life for this campaign and he knew how to convert numerous difficulties into opportunities. Undoubtedly, Fazil Kucuk undertook the most important role in raising the awareness on Cyprus Problem in Mainland Turkey and converting this into a national case. Fazil Kucuk is not only important in terms of his historical presence but is also important for the introduction and development of campaign tools for Turkish Cypriot community. It was such efforts of Dr, Kucuk which allowed each period to be analyzed and entered with readiness and awareness. He established political parties, organized resistance groups and published the Voice of People as a persistent voice of the community. Serving as a roof for Turkish intellectuals just like him, this newspaper also brought new characters into the campaign. Rauf Denktas is one of them. Dr. Kucuk focused on subjects setting the agenda and posture of the community, he pulled people in the campaign in the light of Ataturk`s principles. Particularly his in-depth studies on subjects such as education, foundations and religion inspired the community in reaching to the present day by preserving the moral integrity.
