The flora of Kıbrıs Village Valley

This research was carried out in valley of Kıbrıs village belonging to Mamak district which about 20 km south-east of Ankara province. 1215 plant specimens were collected from the area between July 2004 - May 2006. Identification of the specimens revealed the presence of 624 taxa belonging to 343 genera in 81 families. Cryptogamae are 7 taxa, Spermatophyta are 617 taxa (Gymnospermae are 2 taxa, and Angiospermae are 615 taxa). 70 taxa are new records for B4 square. A total of 67 taxa determined in the research area (10,74 %) are endemic for Turkey. The scattering ratios of the taxa for the phytogeographical regions are as follows: Irano-Turanian elements are 127 taxa (20,35 %), Mediterranean elements are 50 taxa (8,01 %, 17 of these belonging to the E. Mediterranean elements), Euro.-Sib. elements are 67 taxa (10,74 %, 3 of these belonging to the Hyrcano - Euxin and 1 of these belonging to the Euxin element), widespread and others which their regions unclarified are 380 taxa (60,90 %).
