ABSTRACT THE REPRODUCTION BIOLOGY OF CHO.XDROSTOMA REGIUM (HECKEL, 1843) LIVING İN KEBAN DAM LAKE, ELAZI? Masters Thesis M. Zülfü ÇOBAN Fırat University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Aqiiaculture 2002, Page: 46 In this study, the sexual maturity, reproduction period and fecundity of Chondrostoma regium living in Keban Dam Lake, Elazığ were determined between March 2001 and February 2002. It has been found that males reached sexual maturity in age II whereas female reached in age III and thus their reproduction period was in march - april. The correlations between body weight and ovarium weight (r = 0.78). body weight and testis weight (r = 0.78), body length and ovarium weight (r = 0.66). body length and testis weight (r = 0.65) were determined. The relations of body weight, body length and ovarium weight with eggs number were r = 0.49. r = 0.54 and r = 0.46 respectively. Egg diameters ranged 0.2 - 1.633 mm.
