The seasonal distribution and determination of rotifer fauna in Pertek vicinity of Keban Dam Lake

For this purpose, Rotifera samples have been monthlycollected from three different stations between August 2002 and July 2003. In these samples, 15genera and 20 species belong to Rotifera have been recorded. Among the determined species,Polyarthra remata, Asplanchna sieboldi, Hexarthra mira, Testudinella patina, Trichocercacylindrica, Hexarthra fennica ve Epiphanes senta were new records for Keban Dam Lake.During the study, the mostly found species was Polyarthra remata consisting of 14.84%in all Rotifera. The rarely found species was Hexarthra fennica consisting of 0.36% in allRotifera. In addition, it was determined that the Rotifera species remained in the minimumdensity in autumn and reached the maximum density in spring.Key Words: Keban Dam Lake, Pertek Vicinity, Rotifera, Seasonal Distribution.
