Cosmic world and time in Kececizade İzzet Mola's divans

Since its existence, human beings have tried to wonder and examine the universe "with the possibilities of the period in which they lived", while being satisfied sometimes by reaching concrete data, sometimes encountering intangible things and trying to analyze this with his mind and logic. This curiosity of human beings has been mostly to the sky. The mysterious state of the sky, strange objects, its regular movements, and the discovery of something new day by day have infatuated with mankind. The sky has managed to attract the attention of not only scientists interested in this field, but also people from all walks of life. This bright and fascinating world of the sky has been a source of inspiration for poets and writers by embellishing the imaginary world of literature. Turkish Culture has a deep history. This situation does not change in the field of literature as in every field. One of the materials that will shed light on the history of this culture for more than 6 centuries is the products of Classical Turkish literature. In order to understand these products and to have enough information about our past culture, it is necessary to know and examine these works and the authors of these works. This study is based on İzzetMolla who is important poet of our classical literature, and his works named "Divan-ı Bahar-ı Efkar, Divan-ı Hazan-ı Asar". Keçecizade İzzet Molla is one of the important poets of our literature. Many researchers considered him as "the last great poet of Classical Turkish literature, closest to the greatest". Analyzing the divans in order to know Molla well and understand his place in our literature is important. Since the study was a master's thesis, trying to analyze the concepts of "Cosmic Universe and Time" in both of KeçecizadeİzzetMolla's divans. While conducting this study, a way was followed by examining the important analysis studies done before and taking ourselves as a guide. The study is presented in three parts. In the first part, the period, life, art and works of KeçecizadeİzzetMolla are examined without going into much detail ın the second part, how KeçecizadeİzzetMolla handled "Cosmic Universe" in his divans and used it as a metaphor element is analyzed in detail. In the third part, it is tried to examine how KeçecizadeİzzetMolla handled the concept of "Time" in his divans, what he likened to it and Molla's point of view to time in detail.
