Abstract (EN)
In cats and dogs, stomach and intestinal foreign bodies have started to become the main topic of conversation the fore more with the developing industry in recent years. Some objects presented to cats and dogs for gaming purposes may appear as foreign body, usually by swallowing during or after the game. The foreign body that enters the body can leave the body without any changes in the digestive system, depending on its structure and size, as but also it may present with a number of clinical symptoms. The type and shape of the foreign body can provide information on behalf of the digestive system diseases that may occur after diagnosis. With this study, 181,591 patient records obtained from 7 veterinary clinics were examined animal type specific assessment of the foreign bodies found in cats and dogs, in order to evaluate a number of characteristics such as race, age, weight and gender, and also determine the location of the foreign body. As a result of the obtained data, some data such as the foreign body types found in cats and dogs, their location, the presence of foreign bodies depending on gender, the presence of foreign bodies depending on age and race were compiled.
