Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study to evaluate the tomographic images of tumors encountered in various regions in cats and dogs. A total of 27 animals, including 6 cats and 21 dogs of different species, breeds, ages, weights and genders were included in our study, the animals were brought to two private animal hospitals for about a year with suspicion of tumors and whose computed tomography images were performed to help diagnosis. Scanning was performed by adjusting the section thickness at intervals of 0.45-5 mm depending on the size of the tumor. The mean body weight of the dogs was 17.38 kg, and the mean body weight of the cats was 3.91 kg. The ages of the dogs ranged from 2 to13 years (average age was 6.42 years). The ages of the cats ranged from 1 to 14 years, and the average age was determined as 6.83 years. Of the tumors, 22.22% were spleen tumors, 7.40% were neck tumors, 7.40% were testicular tumors, 7.40% were osteosarcoma, 7.40% were abdominal tumors, 7.40% were pelvic tumors, 7.40% nasal tumor, 3.70% liver tumor, 3.70% stomach tumor, 3.70% liver and lung tumor, 3.70% perineal tumor, 3.70% It was determined that 3.70% were sacral tumors, 3.70% were lung tumors, 3.70% were paraesophageal tumors, 3.70% were skin tumors, and 3.70% were spleen and prostate tumors. In the study, it was observed that different types of tumors had different tomographic appearances and that the uniform structures of organs such as the liver and spleen were disappeared. In conclusion; we believe that computed tomography is thought to be a very effective diagnostic tool for determining all tumor mass lesions located in various parts of the body, detecting primary or metastatic foci, and evaluating the boundaries of tumor mass lesions, their spread, and changes in the structure of the tissue or organ it affects.
