Approaches to Esmâ-i Hüsnâ in kelâm tradition: Fakhr al-Dīn Rāzī example

In this study, how the issue of the names and attributes of Allah became a problem in the historical process, how the issue evolved into issues that caused different theological and philosophical debates in the following period, and what the illusions were in this process of change were discussed and evaluated. With regard to the names of Allah, different interpretations of how the names and attributes in the verses, which were the main source of this issue, were interpreted from the perspective of Islamic theologian eyes were included. In the first part of the study, an attempt was made to approach the subject from the perspective of the discipline of tradition of Islamic theology (kalām) by including the evidence of Asmā al-Husnā within the framework of the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Then, the emergence process of the concept of Asmā al-Husnā and other subheadings that were addressed as a theological problem in the early period after this process were briefly mentioned. In the second main heading, the discussions on names and adjectives, which were seen as a theological problem from and the secondary issues arising from these discussions were included. In addition, the studies written and conducted in this field were also briefly included. In the third and last section, the linguistic analysis of some of the names in the related hadith narrations, which were considered among the Asmā al-Husnā, were given by the commentator Fakhr al-Dīn Rāzī by making use of his special work and tafsīr on the subject.
