Kemal-name-i Dugumlu Baba Jild 6 (Text and analysis)

The theme of this study is the sixth volume of the 10 - volume work "Kemal-name-i Dugumlu Baba", which is in a verse menaquipname, regarding the life and miracles of Haci Hafiz Mustafa who was known as "Dugumlu Baba", was written by Ismail Sadik Kemal Pasha who lived between 1824 and 1892. Ismail Sadik Kemal Pasha had begun to write this work when Dugumlu Baba was alive and had continued writing after his death. Ismail Sadik Kemal was a poet, calligrapher and also had held a high governmet positions. The aim of the thesis is to analyze and transcribe the sixth volume of this work which was written in Ruq'ah script. This thesis consists of three main parts. In the first part, Ismail Sadik Kemal Pasha's life and works are described and analyzed under two sub-headings. The first title is included information related to his educational life and family. Under the second title, his other works are cited in addition to Kemal-name-i Dugumlu Baba. The title of the second chapter is Kemal-name-i Dugumlu Baba. Under this title "Form Features of the Work" and "Content Features of the Work" are explained. As analyzing form features of the work , the verse forms, meter and language are discussed. While determining content features of the work, Dugumlu Baba's life, lodge, the people stated in the work are studied and legendary stories mentioned in the work are examined by classification. Finally in the third part, the principles of the publication of the work and transcription of the text are granted.
