The social structure of analysis in Kemal Tahir's village novels

It is important to create determinations and analysis about institutions and values in order to describe Turkish society structure, to develop solution suggestions. According to Kemal Tahir, knowing Turkish people lies in the past, and starts in villages in Anatolia. He states that the way to express the city and the citizens is through the villages. Therewithal, another issue to be considered is history of Republic of Turkey is base upon Ottoman Empire and with the just, peaceful and protective and far from exploitation management of people in Ottomans, the state considered as "mother". The perception of the state of the Turkish people is very different from people of the west. Kemal Tahir has always objected the explanation of the Ottoman, Anatolian, Turkish people with the stereotypical expressions taken from the west, and has always expressed his reaction to the centuries old exploitation policies of the west. Westernization is a process that brings alienation of Turkish people to their own reality and contradicts social values. Solution is not in the west, but within us. Kemal Tahir became prominent with his novelist identity however, it is observed that his novels and notes in his novels; include historical, sociological analyses and issues and thus he has created resources for social scientists to benefit from. Works and studies containing determinations regarding the social structure in sociology in the literature related to the village orientation in the early Republican period are frequently encountered. Plans for villagers and plans that favours villagers had been made due to voting potential of villages in politics. This study aims to evaluate Kemal Tahir as a novelist from the findings obtained from his realistic depictions of village and villagers in his novels. He saw ideas as indispensable in his novels; made realistic determinations with "novel persons". These narratives also provide inferences about the social structure of the period and the region. Within the context of relations of Kemal Tahir's literary works with social conditions, his approach to reality through fictions is one of the issues that should be taken into account.
