Abstract (EN)

The setting of the Turkish literature entering in the Tanzimat period with a new dimension, with the effect of the Realism movement, fails to pass beyond the function of a decor in the first stage. Later on, the positive and negative reflections of the setting on human beings begin to be described. With the maturation of novels, stories and theater plays, space gets a setting, as important as a text person, by escaping the function of decor. The function of the setting as a historical and social component comes to the forefront with its various dimensions ranging from the establishment of the identity to the creation of the perception. It becomes a means by which people's memory, intellectual and emotional ties, identities, and even centrality, establish their existence. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze how the setting is treated in the poems of Kemalettin Kamu, who lived directly before and after this period, after determining the conditions, social and cultural events of the National Struggle period. Kamu, who is the face of social and national awakening, follows the formation of national consciousness by establishing a relationship between living geography, human and history, not by introducing the place where he lived. This quest is sometimes conveyed in the form of linking to history, sometimes in the form of a representation of a perception unified with belief, through the language of both social subject "We" and individual self "I". In this thesis, the concept of setting in the poetry of Kemalettin Kamu has been examined in sociological aspects such as identity, belonging and nationalism; Psychologically, in the form of an open, closed or labyrinthine setting. For this purpose, firstly, the concept of how the setting evoked the effect on human is emphasized, then the concepts of narrow setting, spacious setting an labyrinthine setting are explained, and under the main headings of "Setting and Literature", "Setting and Psychological Reflections of Setting in Poetry ", "Anatolia in Poetry of Kemalettin Kamu ", " Kemalettin Kamu- Language and Tradition" , the relationship between setting and national identity was examined by studying the social and psychological dimensions of the setting in the poems of Kemalettin Kamu. Key Words: Setting and Human at Kemalettin Kamu's Poems, Setting at Kemalettin Kamu's Poems, The Social and Psychological Dimensions of the Setting.
