Teachers views on the usability of Suzuki method in violin education

Abstract (EN)

In this study, certified teachers' opinions were taken and evaluated, regarding the usability of Suzuki teaching method in violin education. Therefore, the study group of the research consists of 7 (seven) violin Suzuki teachers in Ankara. The research is a descriptive study aimed at determining the situation. In data collection, interview questions were prepared for licensed Suzuki teachers, and the answers from the interview questions were evaluated and interpreted using the content analysis method. As a result of the research; Teachers with in the samples, suggested to take into account using a common Suzuki method as a base of the music education and using this education for students for all ages. In addition, it is suggested that teachers' being more determined about parents' participation in the lessons will be beneficial for the development of children and parents should be more patient and self-sacrificing in this process.
