Abstract (EN)
The plate?screw system is one of the most popular devices used in dealing with instability due to trauma or scoliosis, spinal stenosis, tumors, and infection. For the purpose of stabilizing the inserted spine section, the pull-out strength of the screw is one of the most important indices concerned by both manufacturers and surgeons. In this study, 3-D solid modeling and biomechanical analysis of two different type screws and two different type mediums have been studied. The obtained results from the finite element analysis are compared with the performed mechanical test and the suitability of the results have discussed.
