Abstract (EN)

Because of less workmanship and shorter production time, the self-compacting concretes offer the possibility of making the construction more economical. Thanks to less workmanship and shorter production time, the self-compacting concretes offer the possibility of making the construction more economical. For this reason, the use of self-compacting concrete increases day by day. Beams, which are an important part of the structure carrier system, transfer the loads coming from building elements such as slabs and the loads directly on them to the columns. The fracture mechanism that can occur in the beams against the load acting on the structure is very important in terms of the structure behavior. For this reason, the beam elements must be tested under various loads. In the studies done, usually the rebars are not placed in the beams. Since reinforcement is available in reinforced concrete beams, the studies done by researchers and their results are far from the real behavior of reinforced concrete beams. In this study, the differences between reinforced concrete beams, self-compacting concrete and normal concrete under the effect of shear and flexural were investigated. Stirrup ratio, concrete type and concrete strength are the variables of this study. The stirrup ratios are without stirrup, ϕ8/20, ϕ8/10 and ϕ8/5, the concrete typies are self compacting concrete and the concrete strengths are C30 and C60. Totally 16 1/2 scale beams were tested with 4 point bending test. Based on the data obtained in the experimental study, load-displacement, stiffness and energy consumption graphs were drawn and the results were interpreted. It has been observed that reinforced concrete beams produced with self compacting concrete make much more energy consumption than those produced with normal concrete.
