Abstract (EN)

Self ? Compacting concrete (SSC) is increasingly in use in all arms of constructionespecially in fixed concrete sector, repair-reinforcement activities and prefabricatedconstruction sector. Due to the fact that it needs no vibrator, it has high segregation and resistance; it can lead to the production of high performance concrete.Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) is a highly flow able concrete that consolidates with its own weight, has the capability to be placed and leveled without the need of vibration and fills into structural members of highly congested reinforcement. Owing to its self - consolidating ability, no vibration is required which saves time and labor. In addition, since no vibration is required, noise pollution is mostly eliminated at construction sites, thus SCC has an advantage especially when concreting at night in residential areas. In this work, test methods and quality criteria of SCC were investigated and some applications from Turkey and from the world are present.
