Semi-slant submanifolds of kenmotsu manifolds

This study prepared as a doctoral thesis consists of four parts. In the first chapter, the literature summary and the studies about the subject of thesis are given. In the second chapter, some topological concepts and some necessary definitions and theorems Riemannian manifolds and their submanifolds are given. In the third chapter, almost contact metric manifolds and contact metric manifolds, Kenmotsu manifolds, the submanifold of a Kenmotsu manifold and the slant and semi-slant submanifold of a Kenmotsu manifold are explained. In the forth chapter, we give information about the Schouten-van Kampen connection and, as being the original part of the thesis, submanifolds and semi-slant submanifolds of a Kenmotsu manifold with the Schouten-van Kampen connection.
