The city image and the measurement of city image a study on the city image of Artvi̇n

The image of the city is the sum of the beliefs, ideas and impressions that people have in their minds about the cities. Man can be expressed as the image of a synthesized city, using the data that he has received from various sources and combining his experiences with the resultant experience. In this study, it was aimed to measure the perceptions of Artvin Coruh University students regarding the image of Artvin city. For this purpose, image perceptions of students, city advantages, image elements and Artvin people were analyzed. Face-to-face survey method was used to collect information on 600 non-Artvin students from Artvin. The present study consists of three parts and the first part focuses on the concept of image. In the second part, factors affecting image formation are discussed. In the last part, afield study on the image of Artvin city was carried out and the findings were evaluated after the field study and the hypotheses were tested.
