Abstract (EN)
The need for entertainment, which continues to be an important part of individuals' lives, has been tried to be met with various activities in every period. Due to reasons such as rural-urban migration, the development and accessibility of technology, the development of transportation vehicles, and the increase in individual leisure time hours, a new lifestyle has begun to emerge in the urban environment, and this new lifestyle has begun to make itself felt in entertainment activities as in every field. Bars and nightclubs, one of the new forms of entertainment of Western origin, were opened one after another in city centres, and entertainment and nightlife began to be perceived as a whole. In Eskisehir, which is known as a student city, bar and night club entertainment has been diversified with various games and concept parties, and they have become places where individuals of all ages and from all walks of life can find something from themselves, have fun and socialise. In this study, the bars and nightclubs in Eskisehir city centre, which come to the fore with various in-space activities they organise, were identified, the reasons why individuals prefer these places, the games played in the places and the concept parties organised in the places were focused on, and the places in question were evaluated within the framework of folklore investigation methods.
