City and juvenile delinquency, sample of Çankaya county

Juvenile Delinquency?s problem have been increased steadily not only in Turkey but also in the world. It was known that Juvenile Delinquency?s issue met a lot in the city. In thıs study, Juvenile Delinquency?s causes might have been determined in the city centre. Besides, solution proposed with regard to juvenile delinquency have been aimed. İn this study, residents of Çankaya County of Ankara are selected as the universe of the research. According to Turkush Statistıcal Instıtute, the population of Çankaya is estimated that about 1 million (www.tüik.org.tr;2006). It is thought that one sample per ten thousand universe is enough to represent. The main method used in the research is survey. A survey with two parts is conducted to residents. Besides, by the data received from The Section of Children, it is aimed to show the increase in juvenile delinquency and present serious situation. It is observed that following results appeared by the survey and data; The most important reason of juvenile delinquency in Çankaya County is economical reasons emerged with urbanization. It is appeared that migration from country to city is effective in juvenile delinquency. It is developed that the most important reason of increase in juvenile delinquency in cities is economical conditions. It is observed that all professions are required at the same level in solving the juvenile delinquency problem. It is seemed that existence of domestic violence and economical problems of the family is influential on juvenile delinquency It is appeared that youth centers are beneficial while decreasing the juvenile delinquency and gaining to the society It is appeared that legal arrangements are not sufficent in solving the problems about delinquency As results, with regard to combating against juvenile delinquncy, It was emphasized that organizations carried out society, family and enviorenment oriented services steadily for children, child as a victim who encountered a social and phsycology damage, so they was giving a support from staff who was interested in childrea, and also with regard to Juvenile deliquency?s solving, family?s bad economic situation will be improved. Therefore, social state should carry out a necessary aids for children?s education, development and gaining of social life of children.
