Abstract (EN)

Unplanned settlement and crooked urbanization are one of the biggest problems of our time. Failure to make necessary arrangements and plans will be a major problem for future generations. Unplanned restructuring has resulted in slum areas and marginal areas, resulting in unhealthy urban environments and reduced living standards. In order to make cities livable, regular city plans should be prepared, necessary lower and upper structure studies should be done, parks, green spaces and playgrounds should be created. In a fast-growing and immigrant city like Diyarbakir, it is inevitable that distorted urbanization and depressed areas will occur in proportion to population growth. Increasing the quality of social life by reclaiming depressed areas is possible with the urban transformation and settlement of urban consciousness. The transformation should be aimed only at making the unrecognized region more livable as the renewal of the physical structure. While the urban transformation applications are planned, the need for the application of the regions should be considered in terms of rent, rather than rent. Based on this information, it is aimed to determine the current situation in the study area and to measure the urban consciousness in our work, and the suggestions to increase awareness and create a better environment are presented as suggestions.
