Abstract (EN)

Turkey is located on a fault line due to its geographical location and is exposed to earthquake risk. It is not limited to earthquakes, but the vast majority of settlements are exposed to natural disaster risk. The reflection of this situation on cities causes many physical, social and economic problems. With the natural disasters experienced or likely to be experienced, especially earthquakes, the city is worn out and has begun to lose its former dynamics. As a result of these problems, Law No. 6306 on the Transformation of Areas Under Disaster Risk was adopted in Turkey in 2012 and many urban transformation studies have been carried out within the scope of the law. Urban transformation studies have become an indispensable form of urban intervention in countries. One of the equally important issues is determining the appropriate transformation model in the transformation studies carried out. Within the scope of the thesis study, it is aimed to examine the mathematical model, which is one of the application models of urban transformation applied in our country. Battalgazi Neighborhood in Kayseri province was selected as the study area in accordance with the target. In this context, feasibility studies, analyzes and subsequent calculations regarding modeling were carried out and the mathematical model was obtained. In the light of the obtained data, criticisms and suggestions were made regarding the urban transformation study carried out in the region.
