The use of the thematic maps in urban transformation applications: the case of Burdur city

Visualisation according a purpose that is coupled art and technique with a location based products is called thematic maps. Because of thematic maps visually express more details than other maps ıt offers the opportunity of information and to comment on the analysis result. Thematic maps using for urban and infrastructure information system applications, applications of information systems in land use, environmental applications, applications for security purposes, brings the accurate, reliable and fast solutions. For the prevention of urban sprawl in areas with physical, economic or social problems in renewal applications should be aimed that accurate, reliable and quick to achieve results by promoting thematic maps. This work include the process of steps that the collection of data about the areas that due to risky in process of urban transformation or residential buildings , statistically analyzing, interpreting thematic maps that created by processing of analyzed data, the most appropriate project selection. By making effective use of thematic maps of development of cities will be moved level of modern cities by providing cities development with very fast.
