Abstract (EN)

Cities are the areas that most interest the impact of logistics nowadays. The concept of urban logistics has been developed to assess the logistical performance factors of cities such as loading, unloading, storage capacity, infrastructure and transportation facilities. The concept of distribution logistics, which allows firms to gain competitive advantage in the sector, such as smoothly carrying out their operational flows, minimizing their costs, and delivering timely and appropriate products to their customers, is one of the issues to be emphasized. Distribution logistics includes activities related to the transmission of finished products from producer to consumer. Firm performance is the level of achievement of the objectives of the firms as a result of the studies in certain periods. The research is important in determining and correcting the factors of urban logistics, distribution logistics and firm performance in order to increase the efficiency of firms and provide competitive advantage. The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between urban logistics, distribution logistics and firm performance and determine whether they differ according to the control variables of urban logistics, distribution logistics and firm performance. The research was carried out on companies operating in Kastamonu, organized industrial zone, small industrial site and other commercial areas. IBM SPSS 23.0 package program was used to analyze the findings. The reliability and validity of the research variables were tested. It has been examined whether there is a relationship between urban logistics, distribution logistics and firm performance and whether it differs according to the control variables. According to research findings, statistically significant and positive relationships were found between urban logistics, distribution logistics and firm performance. As a result of the difference analysis, it is seen that there is a significant difference between the urban logistics and the logistics department and between the distribution logistics and the firms' logistics department, and between the firm performance and the number of employees and activity places of firms. It is expected that the survey will provide benefits such as increasing the quality of life in the cities, making the firms logistics activities better and more efficient, and minimizing the transportation costs.
