Abstract (EN)
This study investigates the effect of the ways of the distribution of food aid on the satisfaction of the subjects, who were given the aid. In the mean time, poverty, the social policy, which indicates the methods of the fight against poverty, and social municipal services, which is one of the ways how the social policy is locally practiced, will be brought to the discussion in regard to the subject of food aid by the municipalities. The study represents a survey study that collects data from the subjects, who have been aided by the municipalities of Eyüpsultan, Tuzla, and Ümraniye, which adopted different patterns in the distribution of food aid. The aim of the study is to define the perception of the subjects regarding satisfaction from the aids and the amounts of aids, obtaining the requested goods, how the aids meet the needs, the significance of the aids for those who in need, priority service areas of the municipalities, and the aim of the municipalities for helping poor people.
