Abstract (EN)
Mechanical and Physical Properties of Concrete Batch GradedIn this thesis study, produced with a batch and continuous gradations with mechanical and physical experiments on the aggregates and concretes result scrutinized. To do this, composed of both continuous and batch gradations and two different aggregates one is crushed-stone aggregate, the other is angular aggregate two different doses of 300 and 400 with a stack of concrete samples. A series of continuous gradation this random mix 4 serial to be batch gradations, for each dose of 5 serial produced a total of 20 samples of concrete. Water/cement proportion is set as 0.50 in these all mixtures.Experiments have been used by Turkish standard square hole sieves and maximum diameter (dmax) 32 mm was taken as a grain. In order to create a step gradation (0-4), (4-8), (8-16) and (16-32) mm sieve eye openings were created by subtracting the corresponding aggregates from the step gradations.Batch and continuous gradations aggregates have produced concrete samples with physical and mechanical (compressive strength, splitting strength, flexural strength, bohme strength, high temperature effect, switching the ultrasonic sound speed, and so on.) experiments at the results are compared. Results were consistent with the literature. Crushing stone recommends having a permanent gradations generation, it is for the stream generation (8-16) mm aggregate has higher mechanical strength of the samples is not represented by a step gradations. Keywords: Concrete, step gradation, mechanical properties
