ivUNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLIESDESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF450 VA POWER SUPPLY(M.Sc. Thesis)Hasan ÇEVİKGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYMarch 2006ABSTRACTIn this thesis, investigates uninterruptible power supplies (ups) used tosupply continuous electrical power to critical loads such as computers, communication systems, medical instruments. A small ups system wasimplemented capable of driving 450 VA power to the load with 50 Hzmodified square wave waveforms. The ups system of off line mode is designed and implemented. Thesystem consist of four main blocks, that are rectifier and batterycharger, battery, inverter and output transformer.Inverter operates as a switched mode push-pull connected unit with acenter tapped transformer at 100 Hz. Experimental results are in fullagreement with those calculated during the design process.Science Code : 905Key Words : uninterruptible power supply, inverter, square wawe signalPage Number : 98Adviser : Yrd.Doç.Dr. Fadıl ÇELİKKOL
