Abstract (EN)
The aim of this thesis is to determine tissue-specific distribution of fatty acid binding protein 3 (fabp3) and fatty acid binding protein 6 (fabp6) genes and fatty acid composition in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) liver and muscle fed with cameline seed oil and fish oil. As a result of the study, the highest ΣSFA amount was found in the 100% fish oil group (31,5±2%) the highest ΣMUFA amount was found in the 33% camelina seed oil (37,2±0,2%), the highest Σn-6 PUFA was found in the 100% camelina seed oil (15,2±0,3%) and the highest Σn-3 PUFA and EPA + DHA were in the 67% camelina seed oil, respectively, with 38.9±0.3% and 33.3±0.3%, respectively. However the highest Σn-3 / n-6 was found in the 33% camelina seed oil group (3.8±0.2%) in liver. The highest ΣSFA (31.5±0.2%), Σn-3 / n-6 PUFA (2,7±0,1%) and EPA+DHA (23,1 ± 0,4) amounts were found in the 100% fish oil group, respectively. ΣMUFA (32.8 ± 0.8%); Σn-6 PUFA (17.3±0.1%) and Σn-3 PUFA 30,8 ± 0,4% were found in the group fed with 100% camelina seed oil group. When muscle and liver tissue expressions of fabp3 and fabp6 which have important roles in fatty acid metabolism are examined, the highest fabp6 was found in liver both fish oil (25.07±0.52) and camelina seed oil group (25.15±0.46). The highest fabp3 value was determined in liver with 24.46±0.67 in the fish oil group and in the ketencik seed group (23.76±1.81), it was determined in the muscles. The highest fabp3 was determined in the liver of the fish oil group (24.46±0.67) and in the muscle of the camelina seed oil group (23.76±1.81). Finally, when the expression of the fatty acid binding protein genes (Fabp3, Fabp6)and fatty acid metabolism were examined, it has been observed that camelina seed oil can be use as an alternative to fish oil in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) diets.
