Özet (EN)

The silk bug has reached a daily level as a valuable asset that has given different directions to civilizations for centuries. Silk bugwort, starting from China and transported all over the world, is becoming a symbol of the places where it belongs. Particularly important is the fact that the nets where there is intense trade volume pass through the borders of the Ottoman country are becoming more important. The sale of Iranian ipe to these important nets in the Bursa region caused the economy to revitalize thanks to the silk trade and to symbolize with daily Bursa. In addition to the high volume of trade, silk pest farming became a craft in Bursa, but in the wake of the erroneous political policies implemented especially in the 16th century, it left the weaving and turned into a production phase. Thus, Bursa, which specializes in the field of raw production, has become a quality which is sought after in the following periods. So much so that the introduction of the Karataban (Peberine) Disease, a French oak insect disease in the 19th century, led to a decrease in silk production in Bursa. Duyun-u Umumiye Administration Commission, also known as the contribution of the famous Mösyö Pasteur'un against the disease in order to teach the procedure in Bursa Kevork Torkomyan'ı delegated. Thus, the journey to improve the silkworm began with the training given in Bursa Harir Darüt'Talimi, a silk school which was opened by Kevork Torkomyan in Bursa, and the volume of silk production reached its former level. The work entitled "Silk Insect Feeding and Healthy Seed Production Usul and Kavâîdi", which is described in the Bursa Harir Darüt Trial, is a valuable contribution to the quality stability of Bursa's silk production received by Kevork Torkomyan .
