Participation rates of energy sources affecting performance in kickboxing

Abstract (EN)

Introduction: Martial sports have an important place in the world of sports and require a high level of physical, physiological, special techniques and tactical abilities. In addition to these physical requirements, it is considered important to know the performance participation rates of energy sources in kick boxing in order to prepare the right training programs. Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the aerobic, allactic and lactic distribution of energy consumption in competition simulation in kick boxing K-1 contact branch and to investigate the energetic requirements of kickboxing. Materials and Methods: Nine male athletes with a mean age of 24.8 ± 3.3 years who participated in kickboxing for at least 2 years and trained at least 5 kickboxing a week participated in the study. In order to evaluate the anthropometric characteristics of the participants, height, body weight, body fat percentage, lean body weight were measured and body mass indexes were calculated. For the analysis of energy consumption in kickboxing, bicycle ergometer loads of participants were calculated by using camera system in competition simulation. Gas analyzes were performed on bicycle ergometer for each participant with the obtained loads (watts). According to these data, the contribution of aerobic, alactic and lactic systems in total energy consumption was calculated in sigma-plot software system. Results: It was determined that the contribution of aerobic energy systems for kick boxing in total energy consumption was approximately 313 cal, and the contributions from alactic and lactic systems were 60 cal and 114 cal, respectively. Conclusion: According to the data obtained, the contribution of aerobic, alactic and lactic systems in total energy consumption was found to be 64.8%, 12.5% and 22.7%. was concluded.
