Investigation of participation motivation and success perceptions of athletes engaged in Bocce and Dart sports in Kilis and Gaziantep provinces

Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted to determine the participation motivation and success perceptions of Bocce and Dart athletes between the ages of 10-15 living in Kilis and Gaziantep provinces. The universe of the research consists of male and female athletes who received education and participated in competitions in the 2021-2022 academic year in Turkey. There are a total of 201 Bocce and Darts athletes who have participated. The analysis of the reasons affecting the participation motives and success perceptions of Bocce and Dart athletes in the 10-15 age group in Kilis and Gaziantep provinces according to various variables was carried out using the Spss 22 program. In the research, the Motivation Scale for Participation in Sports, the Achievement Perception Inventory- (Children's Version) and the demographic information form were used as data collection tools. When the Mann Whitney U test was examined, it was stated that the value scores indicated in all of the sports participation motivation values and in other dimensions did not differ significantly according to gender, type of competition and degree-taking status in the competition (p>0.05). When the Mann Whitney U test findings were examined, it was stated that the students' sports participation motivation, entertainment, friendship and competition scores showed significant differences according to the chosen sports branch (p<0.05). When the Mann Whitney U test results were examined, it was stated as a statistic that the students' sports participation motivation, physical fitness/energy expenditure and entertainment scores showed semantic differences according to the place of residence (p<0.05). Kruskall-Wallis test results when you're looking at a total of students participation in sport motivation, achievement/status, physical fitness/energy expenditure, time sport scores compared to students studying fun and friendship are indicated statistically (p<0.05). When the Kruskall Wallis test values were examined, the students' sports participation motivation total, Energy expenditure/Physical fitness, Being Active/Mobile, Status/Success, Team spirit/team membership scores were significantly different according to their age (p<0.05). It was determined within the scope of statistical values that the numerical values obtained from all or other dimensions of the success perception analysis scale did not differ significantly in terms of gender (p>0.05). It was stated that the scores of the students obtained from all or other dimensions of the success perception analysis scale did not differ significantly compared to their branch as a result of statistical values (p>0.05). It was determined that the students' total perception of success and ego orientation scores showed significant differences compared to their places of residence (p<0.05). It was determined as a result of statistical findings that the students' perception of success, total and ego orientation scores showed significant differences compared to the time the students were engaged in sports (p<0.05). It was determined as a result of statistical findings that the students' perception of success, total and task orientation scores showed significant differences compared to the age December of the students, p<0.05). It was determined as a result of statistical findings that students' perception of success, total and ego orientation scores showed significant differences compared to the activities in which students participated (p<0.05). It was determined as a result of statistical findings that students did not show significant differences in the competitions they participated in compared to their degree-taking status (p>0.05).
