Abstract (EN)
In this study stepwise leaching technique was applied for desulfurization and demineralization of two Turkish coal Tunçbilek and Çayırhan. At first, coals were leached with 20 % NaOH solution under ultrasound effect and then these products were further leached with (HF+H3BO4). Application of ultrasound with NaOH wasn't effective on removal of ash and sulphur on Çayırhan and Tunçbilek coal samples. By applying ultrasound with asit solutions in second step reduction rates were evoluvated for Tunçbilek coal, sulphur 20.3 %, ash 92.5 %, for Çayırhan coal sulphur 20.8 % and ash 96.8 %.
