Abstract (EN)

Physical properties of roofing tile body were studied. Physical propertieslike water absorption and bending strength of roofing tile are very important interms of determining service life. For this purpose; sepiyolit, molasses, boron,methylhydroxyethylcellulose and vinyl acetate were added to standart roofing tilebody. Sepiyolit was used in particle sizes which are under 500 µm and 100 µm.Sepiyolit with the sizes of-500 and-100 µm were added to tile in proportion of5, 10, 15 % and 1, 2, 3 % respectively. Molasses were added to tile in proportionof 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 %; polymers as 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 , 1 , 3, 5 % and boron as1, 2, 3 %. However, samples containing boron were sintered at 900 oC and 950 oCfor obsereving temperature effect on tile. Standart recipe?s chemical and particlesize distribution analysis were done. Sample?s physical properties were comparedwith those of standart tile body.As a conclusion, the tile body?s water absorption and bending strengthproperties were improved in all kind of addition but sepiyolit with the size of -500 µm.
